I remember my first phone call with these two - It felt like talking to old friends. When we hung up I literally crossed my fingers and made a little wish that they would ask me to photograph their wedding!

Like all 2020 weddings, Mark & Elaine’s looked so different than the original plan. But in the end I think the day turned out to be just so perfect - surrounded by their nearest & dearest.

The day started with Elaine & her besties getting ready at The Parc Hotel. From there we headed to the Rose Garden at Stanley Park where Mark & Elaine exchanged vows in the shade of a willow tree, with friends and family close by (I mean, not too close…6 feet apart of course, haha). After the ceremony they popped bottles of bubbles from a favorite Naramata winery, Joie, and had a very casual cocktail hour among the roses in the garden.

Mark & Elaine said good-bye, hopped on their Vespa for portraits & the night ended on a private Yacht where 12 friends & Family members ate good food, drank good wine, and danced during the most dreamy sunset.

This wedding was a highlight of 2020 for me. Yes, it was the most beautiful day, but more than that it was a day spent Documenting the most genuine & kind hearted people….And it was an honour to do it!
