Have you ever wondered what it would look like to have you & your extended family all photographed together? I bet your mind automatically goes to everyone all lined up, Shuffled in together smiling at the camera…Perhaps all wearing matching denim shirts? haha

No. Extended family photos do not need to look all stiff and uncomfortable. There is no discomfort here, no awkward family photos!

I’m really happy to share the way I photograph extended families/ larger groups here in Vancouver. I still stay true to my documentary and easy going approach to photographing people. No pressure, super laid back and lots of time for kids to run & play and get all those wiggles out. I will always value photographing emotion and connection over perfection!

I’ve said this before, but please always feel free to bring Grandparents along! What a gift to have images of yourself with your grandparents (and your parents) in such a true and authentic way. My hope is as these little kids grow up they’ll look back at these images and truly see their grandparents & connect to all the things they love about them.
