Vancouver Family Photographer || The Shalinsky Family || Jayme Lang Family Photographer

I don’t believe that extended family photos (or any family photos) need to be boring, stiff or awkward! Even in a group of 17 people, and one dog, we can have fun, move around and be ourselves.

I photographed the Shalinsky family last summer (I know, I am VERY behind on sharing work) and I have been meaning to blog these sooner. I was so happy with how this session went! Even though it was a large extended family, I was still able to document this family true to how I capture all my families - We kept it candid & easy going and I feel like everyone had fun and you can see that in these images! I love thinking about how one day those little babies, who will be grown up, will look at these images & I know how special it will be to have photographs being held by their great grandmother & great grandfather! So many generations here & it was such a pleasure to photograph them all!

So please remember this - Extended family photos don’t need to be boring & posted!!
