I was invited to photograph the Moore family before they had to move out of their beloved home. The move came on sudden & they wanted their family to be documented inside these walls before they had to make memories in their new home.

I arrived at their Chilliwack home around sunset, and in the Golden light I photographed them baking pies, Hanging out in their favourite rooms of the house, playing guitar & then ended the night playing in the sprinkler.

It feels so special getting to photograph families in their sacred spaces. Walking into a home & having children excited to show me their rooms, their favourite magic tricks, or how high they can go on the swing. These are honestly the moments I live for in my work.

As with every family session that I photograph, my hope would be that as the years go on, this family can look back at these images and just remember how much love was in this home & be transported back to those summer nights. I hope they can feel the warmth of the sun as they look through these images, taste the berries in the pie, feel the grass between their toes & remember their childhood so vividly.
